About Malta

Malta is a Mediterranean island nation in Southern Europe, located off the coast of Sicily (Italy) and close to Tunisia and Libya. The small country has a population of slightly more than 500,000 people.

Malta was part of the British empire from 1814 to 1964. The British imposed the use of English as an official language at the time. • Malta is a reasonably priced place to live and study.
